Mrs. Denault and her second grade class received two mini IPads and covers through a grant from the Cissna Park Education Foundation.

During the 2nd grade literacy block, students have the opportunity to read and listen to stories, and strengthen their language skills. Certain apps on the IPads offer individualized support for each child. This can be book recommendations and leveled books. Students are also able to strengthen phonics skills using apps related to word games.

Mrs Denault commented that “We also use our IPads during our math block; Fact games and partner games are a big hit with strengthening our knowledge and fluency with math facts.”
