The Cissna Park Education Foundation provided a mini-grant to purchase a timer for the buzzer system used by the Cissna Park Junior High scholastic bowl team. 

“The timer helps students during competition to know the time remaining after each question is asked,” said Lynn Hasselbring, CPJH scholastic bowl coach. 

The system was purchased last year but was not able to be used when the scholastic bowl season ended early due to the pandemic. The students were able to benefit from the use of the timer this season. Hassebring said this piece of equipment will be an asset to junior high scholastic bowl players for many years to come.
